My name is William.
I was trained in the field of Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic/Cosmetic & Dermatologic Surgery & Vascular Anomalies, at the Hokkaido University, Graduate School of Medicine, Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, from April 1998 to April 2000 & then from April 2003 to March 2008. I am sub-specialized in the field of Vascular Anomalies (Vascular Birth Marks), with a PhD in the technique of Sclerotherapy (treatment of these lesions, by injection of special medicines to shrink them for good). I have also gone to the extent of developing some original techniques of sclerotherapy. The aim of this blog is to provide a link between the complex medical sciences and the treatment methods involved and the layperson receiving the service; that is you. Many times doctors do not explain a procedure in detail or they make it unrealistically oversimplified, like showing only before and after photos, but no photos of what goes on in between. In this blog, I try to explain all procedures using as few words as possible and as much diagrams and photos as possible, so that you should (have the right to) know exactly what will be done to your body and the expected outcomes and the risks that will be involved.
